Lotrek and I are proud to present the latest Tale of The Tempest decks--follow up to the Parlour's edition of the same name--The Dynastinae Edition. A gorgeous new variant of The Tale of The Tempest designed and printed by Lotrek at his facilities in Greece. The Tempest Dynastinae continues the heritage and tradition of it's cousin, the Parlour edition, with its Gold and Green color combination.  Limited to only 777.

The cards are printed by Lotrek at his facilities on a luxurious emerald green stock and feature gold foil and black foil hot stamping on the backs and gorgeous full color printing with gold foil on the faces.

The stunning tuck box will feature Gold and Green foil, embossing AND debossing, a secondary sleeve that is hand numbered (to be revealed soon).

That's not all... we present the PRISM Edition!

Originally planned as the 800% stretch goal we simply could not wait any longer to unveil this gorgeous addition to the Tale of the Tempest line; the Prism Edition; our most exclusive and beautiful variant yet with an edition size of only 200.

Featuring luminous prismatic holographic foil and gold foil hot stamped on premium deep navy blue cardstock, the Prism edition lives up to it's namesake. The faces include gorgeous red, gold and prismatic foil.

The two-stage tuck box includes a hand numbered sleeve and a gorgeously embossed and debossed holo-foil printed design on shimmering white pearlescent paper (to be revealed soon).

FIRST OF ALL... if you are in the EXISTING Complete Tempest Premium Tier ($415) DO NOTHING! You will have both of these decks automatically!

The Tempest in Metal?

We are hard at work formulating our stretch goal plans!

So 600% came and went and we are approaching 700% funding... so what's next? To be honest the strength and pace of this campaign surprised us and we just weren't ready to show any details at the time of surpassing our last stretch goal. Rest assured we have plenty of amazing plans we just need a little bit more time to realize them! Having said that, I've recently approved the design for a metal Tale of the Tempest card--the Ace of Hearts to be exact. This hefty collectible is the same size as a regular playing card but 3mm thick! And full of exquisite 3D sculpted detail. The card is perfect for use as a card guard at the poker table, a classic paper weight on the desk, or just as a fantastic show piece collectible to display on your shelf.

Below you will see two height maps renders of what the AoH metal card will look like. Note these colors only represent the height of the represented areas with respect to one another with orange being the tallest and blue being the most recessed. The final finish of the card will be antique gold just like the sample short in the third photo below. 

Once again here's an example of what the finished metal card will look like.

Pricing and Add-on

The metal Tempest AoH is available to add-on for $40. There is a limited supply but there should be enough for those who want to add it. Complete Tempest Premium Tier backers will have one of these in their pledge included automatically. However all multiple metal cards will require additional funds added to the pledge. To add-on the metal card simple click on 'manage your pledge' at the top right of the main campaign page and then add $40 per metal card to your total pledge amount. Then in the 'configure your pledge' section scroll down and locate the metal card to add it on.

Uncut Sheets now Available to ADD-ON

We've added Tempest uncut sheets to the add-on menu!

To add-on the uncut sheet simply navigate to the green "Manage Your Pledge" button and add the cost of the uncut sheet or sheets you want to the value in your pledge total. Then in the 'configure your pledge' page that appears scroll down to add-ons and select the appropriate one! Then accept the changes and it should update your pledge to include the uncut sheets!

Prices are as follows:

Dusk Uncut Sheet: $35

Ocean Uncut Sheet: $35

Midnight Uncut Sheet: $42

Additional shipping charges may apply.

Treasured Edition launches tomorrow (Monday) at 12pm Noon Eastern!

Remember the Treasured Edition tiers are limited to only 1000! Act fast to secure one!

Tomorrow, Monday, November 9th at Noon Eastern the Treasured Edition launches as a new tier and add-on for select backers. 

The last update had detailed descriptions of the cards and how to add them to your reward pledge.

If you are a complete Tempest Premium Tier Backer no need to do anything. You will automatically receive the Treasured Edition as part of your rewards. 

If you are a brick level backer and you want to add the deck, simply edit your pledge amount and add an additional $45.

The Great Wylenti's Treasure Found?

The journey of the Tempest isn't without its treasure! We'd like to present The Tale of the Tempest Treasured Edition! A gorgeous golden variant printed by Cartamundi on Slimline Stock with B9 True Linen Finish featuring a two-tone gold foil embossed tuck case with premium metallic gold cardstock. Within the tuck is a magnificent gold gilded deck of cards featuring stunning metallic gold ink on a field of gold cold foil inset within a eggshell poker border.  The deck features a hand signed and numbered bottom seal. The deck will be limited to 1000!

How do you add the Treasure edition?

First things first, the Treasured Edition will be made available on Monday November 9th at 12pm (noon) Eastern--exactly 48 hours from the posting of this update. Due to the limited number of Treasure Edition decks we will create new reward tiers that include the Treasure Edition among its rewards. There will be four ways to get the deck; The Tempest Quad Set - Limited to about 250 (Which features 1 Ocean, 1 Dusk, 1 Midnight and 1 Treasured Edition), The Tempest Half Brick Plus - Limited to about 250 (Which features 2 Ocean, 2 Dusk, 2 Midnight and 1 Treasured Edition), Brick tier backers will be able to add 1 Treasure Edition to their existing pledge for $45 - Limited to about 400, and the final way to get it is the Complete Tempest Premium Tier - Limited to 100 - which will AUTOMATICALLY receive the deck as a reward at no additional cost. 

For brick tier backers simply go to the main Tempest campaign page and at the top of the page click on the  "Manage your pledge" button. Then select 'Change my pledge" and increase your pledge by $45.  For those switching tiers the process is simple and straightforward as well. Simply go to the main Tempest campaign page and at the top of the page click on the  "Manage your pledge" button. scroll down to one of the new Limited Tiers with the Treasured Edition and select it.  See FLOW CHART map below!

Some Frequently Asked Questions

I'm currently in an Early Bird tier and do not want to lose my early bird discount, is there a way to add the Treasured Edition without affecting my reward tier? No need to worry! The new tiers will automatically feature the Early Bird Pricing Built in--so even if you weren't an Early Bird backer you can reap the rewards of moving into one of these new tiers knowing you will save a little bit of coin. 

What is the price of the Treasure Edition? Why is it different based on tiers? The Tale of The Tempest Treasured Edition is priced at $45. Tier pricing is actually the same regardless of reward tier except for Complete Tempest Premium Tier backers who are getting the deck at a slightly better value once it's all said and done.

As a brick tier backer can I go ahead and already add $45 to my pledge in anticipation of the treasured edition release? Feel free to do so. Technically there is nothing stopping you from adding additional funds in anticipation of adding the deck, however backers will not officially have the reward unlocked until Monday Nov. 9th at Noon Eastern, but it will be retroactively accepted as I expect all Brick Level backers will have the opportunity to add the Treasured Edition.

Why are the tiers limited to uneven numbers instead of a fixed amount like 250 or 400? To protect against overselling the limited stock some of the available decks in lower tiers may be moved into Brick Level Pledge Reward tiers if demand dictates.

Will the Treasured Edition be available after the campaign? Can I get more than one? The Treasured Edition is a Kickstarter Exclusive edition of the Tempest and will only be available to backers of the Kickstarter Campaign. However, if some stock remains unsold once the campaign closes the remaining Treasured Editions will be available first-come-first-serve via the post-campaign Backerkit Survey at the limit of 1 to a backer regardless if you will already receive one as a reward from the campaign itself. This will be the only way to get more than one Treasured--we wanted to make sure everyone is given a fair chance at a first before anyone is allowed to get a second. 

Can I choose what numbered deck I receive or will get? Unfortunately no. This would be impossible to manage logistically.

Can I have my treasured edition signed? All Treasured editions will be signed by designer Lotrek.

All of the Tiers that contain the Treasured Edition are SOLD OUT. What can I do? As mentioned above the only other way to obtain a Treasured Edition would be to move into a Brick level tier and add $45 while they are still available. The best option is to be ready on November 9th at 12pm NOON Eastern when the Treasured Edition tiers go live!
