We did it! The campaign is officially FUNDED! Let's share some numbers!

1,236 folks pledged an average of $157 to send The Tale of the Tempest over our initial $19,750k goal by 984%!

• The Tempest is now the all-time 12th most funded project in the Playing Cards Sub-Category on Kickstarter!

What's next?

In the coming moments (if they haven't already) Kickstarter will begin charging backers for their pledged amounts. Most will go off without a hitch as anticipated. Some may encounter errors due to expired cards, or bank errors, etc. Kickstarter will provide those backers adequate time to correct their payments so that backers don't lose their coveted rewards.

Once all payments have been collected the Backerkit surveys will be prepared and sent out so that all the backers can properly allocate their items they may have added to their tiers. We'll let you know when those will be going out! Backers will also be able to enter and make sure their delivery addresses are correct. Backers will additionally be allowed to add more items or decks to their orders at that time. We will have a limited amount of Dynastinae and Treasured editions available as add-ons in a first-come-first-serve basis. 

Once the surveys are returned all you have to do is be patient! We will get to work producing the decks and additional items and we will provide regular updates throughout the process.

THE FINAL PUSH TO 1000%?!

First of all, once again, thank you to all of our fantastic backers no matter how big or small! Your support has been truly amazing! As promised during yesterday's update we have quite a few things to show and reveal today! Here's a quick index of topics:

Join Lotrek and me on The Gentleman Wake youtube channel for a countdown to the campaign's epic conclusion! We will be discussing the project's evolution and going over all of the amazing offerings, PLUS we will be answering viewer questions AND we plan on having some amazing giveaways, including a Dynastinae Edition, a Treasured Edition, a Tempest Prototypes (including an elusive monochrome edition seen below), and more! 

 We PRESENT the glorious Dynastinae and Prism tuck boxes!

Lotrek and I spared no expense to make sure these luxurious decks will come packaged in tuck boxes that befit them! To that end here are the first images of the Dynastinae and Prism tuck boxes. Both boxes include an outer sleeve and are printed on the finest quality paper stock with deep embossing, debossing and the highest quality hot foil application. 

The Dynastine tuck features two deep green toned card stocks and gorgeous gold and green foil. Designed to look like The Great Wylenti's ship, The Dynastinae, as it crests the waves of a tumultuous sea with the sleeve in place. Removing the sleeve reveals the Beetle of the same name.

The Prism tuck is even more extravagant. It features a luxurious white pearlescent paper with luminous prismatic holographic foil just as seen on the Prism edition card backs. The sleeve is printed on deep navy blue stock and features blue foil. In the final printing though, the DYNASTINAE logo will be in holographic foil.

The Great Wylenti edition is revealed!

Yesterday we announced the glorious TGW edition of the Tempest deck. A never-before- (and probably never again) offered opportunity to own a Lotrek custom printed hot foil stamped deck at such a low price! As mentioned ALL PLEDGES of $100 or more will have the deck added  FOR FREE! Additionally, anyone can add as many TGW Edition decks for just $9 each! 

The TGW Edition tuck box features fantastic gold ink letterpressed onto a vanilla shade stock with aged weathering effect. The cards featuring gold hot foil stamped backs on a black field.  

For those following in The Great Wylenti's footsteps...

True to our word we are offering The Tale of The Tempest Gaff Pack as a $14 add-on for all the illusionists and practitioners of magic in our midst! This 15 card gaff pack will include double backers, color change cards, split cards, and specialty effect cards! If you are the owner of a Parlour Gaff Pack expect more of the same here! NOTE: Original Complete Tempest Premium Tier Backers will automatically receive the gaff pack among their rewards. Additional gaff packs can be added for $14 ea.

We are also announcing the addition of Dynastinae and Prism uncut sheets for add-on at $110 and $140 respectively. To add-on either or both uncut sheets simply select "manage your pledge" at the top right of the main campaign page. Click on 'change your pledge.' Add $110 under extra support for the Dynastinae Uncut Sheet/$140 for the Prism Uncut Sheet or Re-select your current reward tier and on the next page called 'configure your pledge' scroll down and select the uncut sheet you wish to add on. You may do this multiple times to add more than one.

A bottle, a card, a reveal...

Before we go any further we want to once again offer our enormous gratitude for everything you've all done for this campaign! Thank you for the tremendous level of support... 900% is amazing!

To that end, as we promised, Black Friday will have some pleasant surprises in the spirit of giving thanks. More on that announcement very soon--and don't worry. We know Black Friday is stressful for everyone so this campaign we will aim to make it smooth and easy. The reveal will be made soon! 

In the meantime...

2 New Add-ons

First, as we showed a few updates ago, we'd like to present a final production copy of the Tempest Metal Ace of Hearts Card. A gorgeous and hefty, 3mm thick, zinc alloy card finished in antique gold finish is designed to be the perfect card guard, display piece and desk top souvenir. Use it on poker night to keep your hand safe or on your desk to weigh down a stack of paper or display it as the centerpiece on your shelf. 

To add-on the metal card simply select "manage your pledge" at the top right of the main campaign page. Click on 'change your pledge.' Add $40 under extra support or Re-select your current reward tier and on the next page called 'configure your pledge' scroll down and the Metal Tempest Ace of Spades. NOTE: Complete Tempest PREMIUM TIER backers will automatically receive this as part of their rewards. THIS DOES NOT APPLY to Premium Tier LITE backer. 

 Tempest in a Bottle 

The second new add-on is perfectly suited to our campaign. The Tempest in a Bottle features the amazing work of Deryn Le's impossiblebottles. Each Tempest in a Bottle includes a single ocean OR dusk edition deck impossibly encased in a glass bottle. The cork is then seal with a ribbon and TGW wax seal. Another perfect collectible for the display shelf and one that's perfectly suiting to the story of the Great Wylenti!

To add-on a Tempest in a Bottle simply select "manage your pledge" at the top right of the main campaign page. Click on 'change your pledge'. Add $110 under extra support or Re-select your current reward tier and on the next page called 'configure your pledge' scroll down and select the Tempest in a Bottle add-on you want; either Ocean or Dusk. NOTE: This does not quality as a free item for premium tiers since it was not a stretch goal.

The S.S. Dynastinae sails the 777 seas. 

Here's a sneak peak in the form of a render of what the eventual The Tale of the Tempest Dynastinae Limited Edition Tuck Box will look like. The tuck features an outer sleeve printed on dark green paper with luminous green foil waves. The inner sleeve will feature deep embossed gold foil and a debossed wind pattern in the background. 

The tuck was designed to fit perfectly next to the Parlour Dynastinae on the shelf, both featuring the namesake beetle on the front!
